WHAT INSPIRES YOU ?

INSPIRATION.... The word itself has so much to offer. However obvious this permutation of the 11 letters may seem, this word inspires a lot of people. It inspires them, to look for something/someone which for them is an illuminating source for their journey, to chum out maximum creative juices , to help carry on their work and the list goes on . In short inspiration is a necessity.

Are you an artist? Or someone with creative skills? You just cannot complete your work if you’re not inspired. While some artists are inspired by nature, others are inspired by humans and their ways of living. We all have different sources. Some of us need to look within for inspiration, while others have to look outwards. There is actually no golden answer when it comes to finding an inspiration. Also, there can be multiple answers for an individual. I find inspiration in many things. When I look back at my life, I see that I have been inspired by different things at different times. When I was in my early teens, I was inspired by music. While I still enjoy music, I don’t want to be a musician anymore. As times change, our inspirations and role models change.

What things my inner me finds inspiring now, are things which I have realized and felt during the 18 years of my life.

The thing that inspires me the most to carry on, move on and on and on, I call it THE GUIDING LIGHT.
The realization that every individual has boundless potential and unless and until the effort goes into grooming, refining and sharpening their skills, it would all go waste.
It took me almost 14 years to ‘discover it’. The guiding light, it has helped me to continue times of difficulties where I thought I wasn’t good enough, I can’t do it and such related self- destructive thoughts.

The NATURE , The WORLD , its boundless beauties , its limitless secrets , so much to learn , so much to explore , in such a short span of life , inspires me to push myself  harder and harder.

Strikes a chord of your heart?  WAR STORIES does that to me. Soldiers sacrificing their lives for their country without even giving a second thought, inspires me to do something productive which helps my country progress, come out of this vicious circle of poverty, unemployment and corruption and once again be called the ‘SONE KI CHIDIYA’.

Now something interesting. OFF-LINE CONVERSATIONS inspire me. Discussing about some random topic gives me immense pleasure. It stimulates my brain and develops the power to think of the same picture from a large number of ‘angles’ and ‘sides’.

And lastly FOOTBALL.  I just love this game. Although I’m not excellent at it but still it is the love of my life.  It teaches me, however guarded your goal is, there is always a way to reach it, however fast and skilled a player is, there is always a way to stop him.

“The more difficulties one has to encounter, within and without, the more significant and higher in inspiration his life will be”
- Horace Bushnell

Mistakes in Life: Losing Temper

I used to be ill-tempered. I would like to narrate an episode of last year which taught me the hard way that it is important to control your rage.

During vacations, I was travelling back to my home in train. A man aged 30-40 was sitting adjacent to me. When train stopped at an intermediate station, he purchased tea from a vendor. While collecting change from the tea vendor, accidentally, tea spilled on me. Even though tea was not that much hot and caused nothing harm to me but I don’t know what happened to me. I was irritated, enraged even and my blood boiled from inside. I started shouting on him. He asked for sorry but I blamed him for burning my hand. He termed it as a mistake and said that he was having no motive to burn my hand. But this ‘abrupt’ reply infuriated me and I started cursing him more fiercely. Sensing my anger, or rather my madness, he exchanged his seat with some other guy. Now, it was peace for all.

Unaware that one more dreadful happening is awaiting me, I reached my station. Now, I think earlier one was dreadful for that person and not for me. ASAP,I moved towards my father, who was there to receive me. But I was puzzled to see the person standing with my father. The person was the same one with whom I messed up in train. It appeared as if sky is going to fall on me. My father introduced the man to be his cousin. I was boggled to come to know the man as my uncle. My uncle was smiling seeing me. I caught my breath, hurriedly touched uncle’s feet and moved towards car with a sheepish look on my face.

What inspires you the most ?

Inspiration is a divine influence directly and immediately exerted upon the mind or soul. It is the winning step to destiny.

I am not going to say about any great personalities, great freedom fighters like Steve Jobs or Bhagat Singh but about my Father and my Mother who inspire me the most.

My mother is a hard worker and always thinks in a positive manner .She always thinks about my family and supports everyone in my family. She taught me never to hurt anyone in your life, love everyone. She always says not go in a wrong path because it seems easy but to take the right path even though it contains thorns. It is she who taught me to be self-confident in every task. As we know sincerity, hard work and dedication is very important for every person to complete any task. I have seen these three qualities with my mother and she uses it in her everyday life. These qualities always motivate me to do any task. She manages to make every task easy. She has much dedication towards the family and adjusts so much for the family. And my mother taught me that never lose your honesty. It is her because of which I am what I am right now!

My father taught me how to adjust oneself in every situation because we won't get comfort all the time. He is the greatest person I have ever known, he taught me the true meaning of compassion, sacrifice and love for one's own family. He works very hard and never compares me with any person. According to him every person is unique and should never be compared to anyone. He gives me freedom to do anything as my wish. He has taught me how to be a patient mind in critical situation. He is very punctual in time he always asks me to respect the time. He always shares all kinds of things that he had faced in his life. He makes my life joyful!

I get inspirations both from success and failure as both are equally necessary in once life. Inspiration also comes from work experience, attitude, habits, etc. Sometimes I get inspirations from my own life. It teaches me not to be the perfect but to be responsible so that I can know what is wrong. I have learnt that success and failure are two sides of life. I get inspirations both from success and failure as both are equally necessary in once life.
